Follow-up study highlights major cognitive and behavioral consequences of COVID-19 infection

COVID-19 infection is associated with significant cognitive and behavioral problems in patients two months after hospital discharge, and these partially persist in the post-COVID phase at 10 months, according to new findings presented at the EAN 2021 virtual conference.

Specialists from centers in Milan, Italy, studied 59 patients with confirmed COVID-19 infection, using comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and brain MRI.
