Challenges to SMA care during the COVID-19 pandemic

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the care of patients with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) has been assessed in new research presented at WMS 2020.

Specialists from the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland, analyzed data on all SMA patients treated at the center between November 2019 and August 2020. The lockdown in Poland began on 16 March.
